Sustainable construction and sustainable mobility Transformation clusters on social innovation for sustainable cities

The Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR), through the transformation clusters on social innovation for sustainable cities, supports R&D projects that examine and test socially innovative approaches on topics such as the rehabilitation of existing housing stock, space efficiency, green areas and the use of new technologies.

The aim is to draw up blueprints for effective scaling and transfer. Currently, the focus is on social innovations aimed at mobilising more sustainable and affordable housing in existing neighbourhoods.
